About
Hi, I'm Jake. I build early marketing at companies where the product is hard to explain - developer tools, web3 infrastructure, and increasingly AI.
Work
Most recently I led product marketing for Noir at Aztec - the open-source zero-knowledge programming language behind privacy infrastructure used by 18M people (the EU mobile wallet, World Network, and more). While there I built NoirCon, which went from a scrappy side-event to the industry's leading technical workshop series with 500 attendees.
Before Aztec, I was Polygon's sole marketing hire on Polygon ID (verifiable credentials) and Avail, and spent two years spinning Avail out into its own company - launching it as a $1.5B protocol. Earlier, I led marketing at Namebase (DNS infrastructure, acquired by Namecheap) and at AirDev, a no-code dev shop in San Francisco that shipped software for 100+ businesses during the pandemic.
Earlier
- Created the machine learning team at a telecom firm in Dallas
- Helped plan an ICO at ICONLOOP in Seoul in the 2017 era (still the largest token in Korea)
- Assistant film composer for the composer behind The Perks of Being a Wallflower
- International student outreach for Minerva across five continents
School
Minerva, first class, six countries in four years. More on that someday.
Now
Currently exploring product marketing and GTM engineer roles at AI and developer-tools companies. Outside of that: Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, a home lab, guide dog training, and a handful of side projects. See what I'm up to →
